Turning a tie is a metal wire wrapped in a piece of paper or a thin plastic and used to bind a pocket opening, such as a garbage bag or bread bag. This is also called play wire park . A twist tie is used by wrapping it around the item to be tightened, then rotating the edges into one (thus his name). They are often incorporated with plastic food bag boxes or garbage bags, and are usually available individually in pre-cut lengths, on large spools, or in perforated sheets called gangs.
