The 2017-18 Danish 1st Division season is the 22nd season of the Danish 1st Division league championship, organized by the Danish Football Association.
Division-champions, runners-up and third-placed teams promoted to 2018-19 Denmark Superliga. The teams in 11th and 12th positions were relegated to Danish 2nd Division 2018-19.

Participants
Esbjerg fB finished last in the Denmark17 Dan17 Superliga relegation play-off and was relegated to Division 1 for the first time since the 2010-11 season. Viborg FF lost to FC HelsingÃÆ'¸r in the relegation game and were relegated after two seasons at the first level as well. Hobro IK and FC HelsingÃÆ'¸r were promoted to the Danish Superliga 2017-18.
AB and NÃÆ'Â|stved Boldklub were relegated to the Danish Division II 2017-18. The AB were relegated immediately after just one season in the second level while NÃÆ'Â|stved Boldklub lasted for two seasons in the league. Thisted FC and Brabrand IF won promotion from the Danish 2-2017 Division. Thisted and Brabrand will play in Division 1 for the first time since the 2009-10 season.

? : Due to weather conditions (freezing weather), two spring games at home on March 4 and 18 are transferred to Gentofte Sportspark.
