Types of print art photography refers to the process and paper on how photos are printed and developed.
- Print C-Print/Chromogenic : C-Print is a traditional print way using negatives or slides, magnifying, and photo paper - through the chemical layer's exposure and emulsive process. Chromogenic color prints consist of layers of cyan, magenta, and yellow, which together create a complete picture. This process is the most common type of color photo printing.
- Digital C-Print: Also called Lambda or Lightjet prints , this process uses a digital exposure system to produce images, but traditional photo paper and emulsion processes to produce final prints.
- Inkjet Print : Inkjet is a broad category for works printed through a sprayed ink droplet additive process, which is different from that chemically developed. Basically, this is a higher version of a household printer. There are several types of inkjet prints, including dye-based types and pigments, which affect the quality of archives and the longevity of prints.
- GiclÃÆ' à © e : This is an alternative name for inkjet printing on a support structure that is usually thicker.
- Photogram : This use uses photo-sensitive papers directly (without camera or negative), creates images and visual effects by exposing paper to light.
- Gelatin silver process : This is the most traditional black-and-white emulsion process, introduced in the late 1800s and still available today. The image is developed through a wet process, using paper coated with a layer of silver salt and gelatin.
